Data Engineer

Helmes is looking for a Mid-Senior Data Engineer to join our team! We are looking for someone who wants to build new data domains, optimize query performance for heavy business usage, and automate deployment workflows – someone who takes ownership and truly cares about the data quality.

Challenges you'll tackle: 

• Building and maintaining complex ELT/ETL pipelines using Python and orchestrating them; 

• Managing and fine-tuning data platform’s environments to ensure high performance and cost-efficiency; 

• Integrating various data sources (APIs, third-party systems) into a centralized one; 

• Ensuring data integrity and security by following engineering best practices and participating in code reviews.

Skills for success: 

• Experience working with Databricks and/or BigQuery and/or Snowflake; 

• Understanding of cloud data warehousing and SQL optimization; 

• Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable Python code for data processing; 

• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions for data pipeline automation;

• Experience with Azure or AWS;

• Great English language skills.
