QA Internship | Helmes IT Academy

Helmes is looking for a curious and motivated QA Intern to join our Helmes IT Academy! This is a one-month hands-on learning opportunity for someone eager to gain practical experience in Quality Assurance and discover what it’s like to work on a real IT project.

You will join our Festool project, where you’ll get the opportunity to work with real physical Bluetooth devices, explore how they interact with software, and learn how to test their functionality in practice. Working alongside experienced IT professionals, you’ll gain insights from real experts, who will share their knowledge, guide you through the process, and help you build practical QA skills in a real project environment.

Challenges you'll tackle:

  • Filling test coverage gaps - reviewing the features already in the app and writing the test cases that are missing in our test case management tool.

  • Covering new features - writing test cases for new features as they are developed, working closely with the QA engineers and developers.

  • Regression testing - running regression test cycles on the app while it's connected to physical Bluetooth power tools, then reporting and following up on the defects found.

Skills for success:

  • Some hands-on experience testing mobile apps (iOS and/or Android), whether from coursework, personal projects or a previous internship;

  • Basic understanding of software testing and familiarity with tools such as Jira or a test case management tool.

  • Interest in Bluetooth/BLE technology and how mobile apps interact with connected devices.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to document test cases and report bugs clearly.

  • Strong verbal and written communication in English.

❗️Please note that after submitting your application, you will receive an email with two required tasks: an online test and a short video introduction. Both tasks are mandatory and must be completed in order for your application to be considered❗️
